Rental Policies


CHECK-IN AND CHECKOUT TIMES Guests understand that check-in time is 3:00 PM and checkout time is 11:00 AM.  Late checkouts and early check-ins will result in an extra day’s charge.  Time adjustments may be made to facilitate cleanup, especially on same-day out and in rentals. 
GUEST AGREEMENT Guest(s) acknowledges and understands that he (she) is a licensee of the Owner and not a tenant; and that he (she) is not acquiring any interest in the property. It is understood that each unit is privately owned including the furnishings, with Y-Knot Rentals solely as Agent for the Owner. Occupancy and use of premises shall not be such as to disturb or offend neighbors or residents.  The Agent has the prerogative to ask disruptive Guests to vacate the premises. Information regarding individual listings is believed accurate but cannot be guaranteed.  Guest(s) inspection of the premises is encouraged. Guest(s) shall be solely responsible for any property damage, accident injury to any person or loss sustained by any person, including loss of money, jewelry, and other items of personal property, arising out of or in any way related to Guest(s) use of the premises or the items of personal property provided by Y-Knot Rentals the Owner at Guest(s) request.  Guest(s) shall inspect and be familiar with proper use and application of such items prior to using them.  Guest(s) hereby agrees to INDEMNIFY and hold Y-Knot Rentals and/or Homeowner harmless from any and all claims including those of third parties, arising out of or in any way related to Guest(s) use of premises or the items of personal property provided therein.  Guest(s) assumes the risk of injury or other losses relating to any recreational activities and will hold owner and its agents harmless with respect there to. Guest(s) shall leave premises in clean, undamaged condition.  If unit is not left in suitable condition, guest understands that agent reserves the right to charge guest for any repairs or special cleaning. 
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY  Each rental unit has a maximum occupancy, especially the Pelican Point Condominiums.  Pelican Point condominiums have a limit of 8 people.  The size of the group must be included with the reservation.  Some rental rates are higher for additional people.  Violations shall be cause for an immediate eviction without any refund of rents or deposits.
KEYS If keys are not returned to the office, a $50 fee will be charged to the guest. 
LONG DISTANCE PHONE CALLS   If unit is equipped with a telephone, guest agrees to make all long distance calls collect, by credit card, calling card, or charged to a third party. 
WEEKLY RENTALS SPECIAL  One-day free with a 7-day rental applies for most units.
WHAT TO BRING  We provide a minimal amount of household supplies. You will need to bring trash-bags, coffee, coffee filters, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
CLEANING SERVICE Daily house cleaning service is available upon request for an additional fee.
TRASH  Trash is picked up on Monday and Thursday.  All trash must be bagged in plastic garbage bags.  All trash should be taken out of the house and placed in the appropriate receptacle.
FISHING LIGHTS Please be sure to turn off fishing lights during the day and before departing.
LOST AND FORGOTTEN ARTICLES Lost or forgotten articles, if found, will be held for at least a month and an effort will be made to contact the renter.  Please call if you forget anything.  After a month, some items may be disposed of but most will be held for later pick up. There will be a fee of $20 + any shipping and handling costs.
If there is any problem with a rental properties please notify Y-Knot Rentals promptly so that we can do our best to insure you have a pleasant visit to Port Mansfield.


PAYMENT POLICY  Full payment in cash/check or credit card is required in advance of your reservation or at check-in.  Credit cards are accepted with an additional 4% convenience fee.  A $5.00 administrative fee is incurred with each reservation.  Renters are responsible for Pay-per-view satellite costs or any damages to property incurred during the guest’s occupation. On certain rentals a housekeeping charge is incurred.  All short-term rentals are subject to a 11% state motel tax (prices listed include tax).


SECURING YOUR RESERVATION Advance rental reservations are highly recommended, especially during the busy summer months, on weekends, holidays and for stays longer than three days.    A major credit card MasterCard or VISA is required to secure a reservation.  A 50% deposit is required and a confirmation of your reservation will be sent.  Deposits are non-refundable.  CANCELLATION by EMAIL or POSTAL SERVICE or MESSAGE on ANSWERING MACHINE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE, you MUST CONTACT OUR OFFICE BY TELEPHONE and cancellation must be 30 days in advance of your reservation.


MINIMUM STAY  Two-night minimum stays are required, with three nights on holiday weekends.


PETS   Pets of any kind are NOT ALLOWED in most properties.  However, we do have some properties that allow pets provided a special cleanup fee is paid.  If a pet is found in a property that does not allow them the guest will be ask to kennel the pet or depart and a special cleanup fee will be charged to the guest.


WINTER RATES Available from November 1st to April 1st.  Please call for more information.


MUTIPLE UNIT RENTALS  Available for larger groups, family reunions or corporate use.  Be sure to make your reservations well in advance.


WATERFRONT HOUSES Ranging from one to four bedrooms, these waterfront homes will house your group comfortably.
 Duplexes are available for larger groups.  Most waterfront houses have a private 500' lighted pier for night fishing and the duplexes share a pier.  All waterfront houses are fully furnished with cable or satellite TV, a microwave, linens, cooking utensils, and barbecue pit.  Most houses also have a telephone, dishwasher, freezer, washer and dryer.


PELICAN POINT - Luxury Condominiums These two to four bedroom condominiums are fully furnished, with a boat slip, night fishing lights, microwave, dishwasher, telephone, and cable TV or satellite TV.  Most of these units have at least three baths a covered garage or a carport.  A coin operated laundry room is located near the common pool.  Located at the mouth of the harbor, Pelican Point Condominiums have a great view of the Laguna Madre Bay.  At the Pelican Point Condominiums, your group can relax by the private pool and jacuzzi, barbecue, and night fish.  Due to limited parking in the condo parking lot, we ask that you park your boat trailers and excess vehicles across the street in the designated area reserved for Pelican Point guests  known as Red Dog Parking Lot (your room key will have an extra key for the lock on the gate).  An enforced maximum occupancy for these condominiums is eight people.


OFF THE WATER HOUSES All houses are air-conditioned and fully furnished, including a microwave, cable TV or satellite TV, linens, cooking utensils, and barbecue pit.  Most houses also have a dishwasher, freezer, washer and dryer.  Some have extra amenities including DVD players, spas, pool tables, and more.  Most houses have adequate parking for boat trailers.
