Fishing Report
June 19, 2008
Thursday – Fished north over deep grass and had good keeper (eater) trout. Fished the dumps and also found good eater trout and a couple of reds mixed in. Fished on the west side and the east side. Headed high in the white sand and had limits of reds. Ended with limits of trout and reds. Perfect weather conditions, tide fairly low.

Friday – Fished north again, fished deep grass in different areas than the day before, still good keeper trout. Fished for reds, again in the white sands and still they were there. .

Saturday – Fished north and had limits of trout over deep grass, around waist to chest deep water. Slow bounce over the tips of the grass. White sands held fewer reds than previous days, still managed a few.

Sunday – Fished south for reds only, thigh deep water held reds and lots of them. Caught good reds between 24 – 26 inches. As the day progressed the reds became more leery, some short strikes, hard to hook up for more than a second or two, or they would just follow the bait right to your feet.
All fish caught on soft plastics, Red / White and Pumpkinseed / Chartreuse.
Most consistent action for trout was waist to chest deep water, most consistent action for reds was knee to thigh deep water, both boggy bottoms and hard bottoms. The depth seemed to be the key.
Biggest trout was 22 inches and biggest red was 27 inches.
