Fished with Tina and her 15 year old niece, Morgan who entered in the STAR Teens in hopes to winning a scholarship; specific to the Flounder division. We started this first day for trout and after several deep water drifts had 15 nice trout in the box. We then went for flounder and had two that kept following her bait, but wouldn’t bite. We were rained out and headed in relatively early.
Soft plastics in red and white and pumpkinseed / chartreuse on 1/8th ounce jig.

Fished north again and made one drift over the same area as the day before but the trout were not quite as thick as the day before so we decided to go for the flounder. Dropped Tina and Morgan off and after about 45 minutes they found the flounder and lots of them. Several misses and some that just wouldn’t bite no matter what you put on their head. You had to step on them to get them to move. Anyway they landed four nice ones and Morgan entered one for the STAR Teens. Last update had her bumped off the board, but she had a blast catching them.

Fished north again and went for redfish early. Found the reds in shallow water and was unable to fish for flounder as the weather was bad. We were running from storms most of the day.
Soft plastics all three days with stormy / rainy weather all around.

Started out fishing deep for trout and found a few. The sun came up so we decided to do some sight casting from the center console. Capt Robert showed up and took one of my guys and I had the other. The reds were in small pods, and sight casting was easy. The clouds interrupted us after about an hour. Headed for shallow water and ended with some nice trout and a few more reds

Same area as the day before but the bite wasn’t quite as good. It seemed the fish starting biting more later in the day than at first light. Anyway had a fair day with one 22 inch trout released. Just shy of a limit.
